On Sunday, the Lindenwood men's wrestling team traveled to Stanford, Calif., to face the No. 10 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies and the No. 23 ranked Stanford Cardinal, where the Lions dropped both matches.

Overview
In Lindenwood's first bout, the Lions faced the No. 10 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies carried seven individuals ranked nationally in the top 25 in their respective weight classes, and of those seven, two are in the top 10 in their respective weight classes. The Hokies, in their bout against the Black and Gold, won 52 to 0, coming from four pins, three major decisions, two technical falls, and a forfeit.

In Lindenwood's second bout of the day, the Lions faced the No. 23 ranked Stanford Cardinal. The Cardinal lineup carried the number 2 ranked wrestler in the 165-pound division and six in the top 33 in their respective weight classes. The Lindenwood Lions would lose their bout to Stanford by a score of 43 to 6. The Cardinals put points on the board by three major decisions, two technical falls, two pins, one decision, and a forfeit. The Lions received six points from a forfeit.
