The Lindenwood men's basketball team (5-7) will visit Utah Tech (7-5) on Thursday for the final non-conference matchup of the season for a 1:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. Central) start in St. George, Utah.
The Lions are coming off a loss to BYU on Tuesday night in Provo, Utah.Â
Cam Burrell finished the night with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. Burrell added a pair of steals and one block on the defensive end, while pulling down three rebounds in the game.Â
Chris Childs collected 17 points to lead the team, as he also dished out two assists and tallied two steals.
Lindenwood will look to bring its overall non-conference record to 6-7. The Lions are currently 4-0 on home court, with its biggest win coming against Idaho State in a 77-76 overtime victory. Lindenwood has visited some tough Division I opponents through the first two months of the season, as the Lions have fallen to Dayton and Illinois, as each was ranked in the top-25 at the time of competition. In four of the Lions five wins, they have shot over 40 percent from behind the arc.
After Thursday's game, the Lions will rest for a week before visiting Eastern Illinois on December 29 for the first OVC action of the season. The Lions will then host Tennessee Tech on New Year's Eve for the first home conference game inside Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
