The Lindenwood baseball team (0-2) dropped a pair of games on Saturday, losing 13-5 and 11-4 to No. 16 Lee University (4-2) in Cleveland, Tenn.
 
OVERVIEW
The Flames jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, after scoring runs in each of the first two innings.  Lee tacked on another run in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 4-0 advantage, but the Lions found success in the top of the seventh.  Austin Schmitt got the Lions on the board with an RBI double to centerfield, as he scored later in the inning on a single to center field by Connor Adams.
 
Lee University responded quickly and put up nine runs in the bottom half to put the game out of reach.  Bailey Crump tripled to center in the top of the ninth to bring in two runs before he scored on a single by Colin Shea to close out the scoring in a 13-5 final in game one.
 
Lindenwood carried the offensive momentum into the second game, as Jack Meyer drove in two runs on a double in the first inning.  The Flames answered with three runs in the bottom of the first, but Lindenwood responded with a run in the top of the second frame to tie the game at 3-3.
 
Lee quickly regained its lead in the bottom half, and scored a combined seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings to go ahead by eight runs.  The Lions tallied one run in the top of the sixth inning, but it was too little too late in the 11-4 loss.

Lindenwood will close out the weekend series with Lee University on Sunday for a 12:00 p.m. CST start in Cleveland, Tenn.
