The Lindenwood women's hockey team (6-22-1) saw its season come to an end on Thursday in a 6-4 loss to RIT (2-26-4) in Syracuse, N.Y.

GAME OVERVIEW
Both teams go off to a slow start in the first period, as a total of nine shots were thrown on net. RIT got on the board in the second period by scoring at the 1:04 mark, and again less than five minutes later.Â
Gigi Pora brought the Lions within one, as her tally came at the 8:42 mark of the second period. RIT held a 2-1 lead heading into the final frame, which was a wild period full of action.

Similar to the second period, the Tigers scored a pair of goals early to take a 4-1 lead. RIT took a commanding 5-1 lead near the halfway point of the third period, but the Lions continued to battle.Â
Valerie Caldwell netted a goal at the 12:29 mark to cut the deficit to three goals. Less than a minute later,
Sierra Burt tallied her second point of the game, as her goal made it 5-3.

The Tigers halted the momentum with a goal at the 16:39 mark, regaining a three-goal advantage.Â
Casey Adimey notched a goal with 17 seconds remaining, but it was too little too late in the 6-4 loss in the opening round of the CHA Tournament.
