The Lindenwood women's soccer team (3-5-1, 0-0-0 OVC) dropped a non-conference road matchup to DePaul (2-5-0, 0-0-0 Big East) by a score of 3-1 on Thursday night from Chicago, Ill.
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood opened the game with a quality scoring chance as
Maggie Weller sent one towards goal in the third minute but was denied by the DePaul keeper. The Blue Demons took the lead shortly after, going up 1-0 just one minute later. DePaul added two more goals late in the opening half and despite Lindenwood registering five shot attempts in the first half, they trailed 3-0 at the break.
The Lions pulled one back less than three minutes into the second half, as Weller found the back of the net for the first time this season. Lindenwood was unable to get any closer throughout the second half, seeing DePaul pick up the victory by a score of 3-1.
