The Lindenwood football team (3-3, 1-1 BS/OVC) hits the road and will take on Charleston Southern (2-3, 0-0 BS/OVC) this Saturday. Kickoff from Charleston S.C. is set for 3:00 p.m. CT.

The Lions are coming off a 23-0 shutout win over Tennessee Tech this past Saturday. It was the programs first shutout since November 5, 2005, when the Lions defeated Avila 37-0. In the win on Saturday, Lindenwood's defense recorded six sacks and forced three turnovers.

Kobe McClendon was a big part of that and for his performance, he was named Big South-OVC Association Defensive Player of the Week. McClendon was a force on the defensive side of the ball this past Saturday. The St. Mary's product was in the Tennessee Tech backfield all day, compiling seven tackles, four of them being for loss. The St. Louis, Mo. native finished the game with three sacks, while also forcing and recovering a fumble in the third quarter. He also added a quarterback hurry to his outstanding stat line. McClendon now has 5.5 sacks on the year, tops in the Association.

The offensive spark was provided by
Spencer Redd who returned the games opening kick 99 yards for a touchdown. The Springfield, Ill. native also caught a 52 yards touchdown pass in the second half. For his efforts, he was tabbed Association Co-Special Teams Player of the Week. The kickoff return touchdown was the third of his career, second most in school history.

The Lions played a complete game this past Saturday.
Logan Seibert was clutch in the kicking game, nailing three field goals, including a season-long 49 yards late in the first half.

This will be the first meeting between the Lions and Buccaneers in school history. Lindenwood has one win on the road this season, a 43-40 victory over Western Illinois on September 16.
