Matchup
Lindenwood women's volleyball continues their conference road trip with two matches against the number one ranked Ohio Valley Conference team, the Panthers of Eastern Illinois, in Charleston, Ill. The two teams split their 2022 matches last season at Hyland Arena.

Last weekend, the Lions went down to Cookeville, Tenn. and split two matches against the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech. Lindenwood and TTU went five sets in both matches with the Lions claiming a win on Friday.

Eastern Illinois has been the favorite in the OVC this season with a 16-1 record that includes a 3-0 sweep of SEC opponent Missouri. EIU swept Morehead State in two matches last weekend at Lantz Arena.

The Lions were picked to finish seventh this season in the OVC during the preseason voting. Eastern Illinois was picked to finish fourth in the OVC with two preseason first place votes.

Weekend Recap
The Lions split their two matches last weekend at Tennessee Tech. Both matches that they played against the Golden Eagles went five sets. Lindenwood took Friday's match while TTU won Saturday's rematch.

On Friday, Lindenwood women's volleyball picked up a 3-2 thrilling win against the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech as the Lions post a season high 68 kills and 92 digs in the win. It also marks their first road victory of the season.

Addy McAleer led the way for the Lions after picking up 21 kills and 16 digs for her sixth double-double of the season (three straight). Freshman Jade Roth came up big in the middle with a season high 19 kills on an efficient .567 hitting percentage.

Nyah Wilson came up big for the Lions on both the offensive and defensive sides of the net. She notched her seventh double-double (fourth straight) and earned a season high 20 digs in the process. Rebecca Janke was also active adding 12 kills and five blocks.

Saturday's match fell the way of the Golden Eagles despite the Lions having 58 kills on a .245 hitting percentage. It was the first time this season that the Lions have lost in five sets.

Janke led the way for the Lions in five sets with 14 kills and a .367 hitting percentage. She also led on the defensive side with a team-high three blocks. Wilson and McAleer also had 13 kills each with Wilson earning a double-double (13 kills, 14 digs).

OVC Top Ten
Janke continues to have an effective and efficient season ranking seventh in the OVC in hitting percentage with a .305 on 469 attempts. Of the players ranked in the top in hitting percentage, she ranks fourth in kills (177). Janke also ranks 10th in blocks per set (0.94) and tied for fourth in total blocks (63).

McAleer also remains in the top ten after picking up 34 kills in two matches over the weekend. She ranks seventh in kills per set with an average of 3.19 and fifth in total kills with 214. Her 97 kills in conference play ranks second among qualified players. McAleer is also 10th in total points per set (3.57).

Allie Otten ranks eighth at the setter position with an average of 6.81 assists per set. Her 456 assists this season also ranks seventh. Libero Jessie Seidel is fourth in the OVC in both total digs (322) and digs per set (4.81).

Player To Watch
Roth had a stellar weekend against Tennessee Tech picking up 27 kills in two matches including 19 in a five set win last Friday. Not only did she post a career high in kills, but she was effective hitting .478 in two matches.

On the season, Roth is fourth on the team in kills with 86 (1.52 k/s). Her .237 hitting percentage ranks second on the team among qualified players (min. 100 attacks). Her 27.0 blocks also ranks third on the team.
