ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood women's soccer team will host Eastern Illinois for Senior Night on Thursday, October 19
th at 7:00 PM. This will also be the final home game for the Lions in their 2023 slate.
The Lions are currently 3-11-1 on the year, 1-6 in conference, and sit at the bottom of the OVC table. In their last two matchups, the Lions fell to Morehead State and Southern Indiana, where they were held scoreless.
Anna Johnson leads the Lions in points with five, coming from two goals and one assist.
Mia Corrigan and
Maggie Weller are second on the team in points with four coming from two goals.
Jordan Hollingsworth started the last game in net for the Black and Gold. Hollingsworth has made 21 saves on six goals against, in three starts this season.
The Lions are looking for their fourth win of the year and their second win in conference play to keep their postseason hopes alive.
The Lions will matchup against the Panthers for the second time in program history. In their last matchup, the Lions tied 0-0 against the Panthers on October 20
th, 2022. The Panthers are currently 2-8-4 on the season, 1-4-2 in conference and sit third to last in the OVC table. Abby Reinl leads the Panthers in points with nine, coming from three goals and three assists. Zenaya Barnes, Ella Onstott, and Alex Tetteh are all tied for second on the team in points with four. Ella Kratochvil has made ten appearances for EIU, making 55 saves on 14 goals against.
