The Lindenwood football team (3-4, 1-2 BS/OVC) returns to the field on Saturday, taking on Tennessee State (5-2, 1-1 BS/OVC) on the road in Nashville, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.

Carter Davis connected with
Jeff Caldwell for Lindenwood's only offensive touchdown of the game in the third quarter.

The touchdown grab was Caldwell's seventh of the season, which is tops in the Big South-OVC Association. The Louisville, Ky. native also ranks second in the Association in receiving yards (519) and third receiving yards per game (74.1).

Kobe McClendon continued his strong play on the season, picking up another sack in the loss. The St. Mary's product now has 6.5 sacks on the year, second in the Association and fifth-most in all of FCS. The 6.5 sacks are tied for the fourth-most in a single season in program history.

For his efforts a couple weeks ago,
Patrick Turner was named Big-South OVC Association Specialist of the Week. A Melbourne, Australia native, Turner averaged 46.7 yards on six punts. The redshirt freshman saw three kicks land inside the 20-yard line, including a game-long boot of 62 yards. On the season, Turner averages 41.9 yards per kick which is second in the Association. His season-long of 66 yards also ranks second among other Association foes.

Tennessee State enters this weekend on a three-game winning streak and are now receiving votes in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25. Last Week, the Tigers defeated Lincoln, 54-0. Jordan Gant found the end zone four times on his way to an Association Freshman of the Week honor.
