The Lindenwood women's basketball team (0-1, 0-0 OVC) faces its first road test of the season when the Lions travel to Dayton, Ohio to take on Dayton (0-1, 0-0 A10) on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CT.

The Lions are coming off an 89-80 loss to Tulsa in its season-opener.
Kaylen Evans paced Lindenwood with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field in 22 minutes off the bench. The reserves were a key factor in the game, scoring 30 of the teams 80 points. Evans was one of four Lions in double-figures along with
Justis Odom,
Ellie Brueggemann, and
Reagan Rapert. Last season, the Lions scored 80 or more points on just one occasion.

In the opener, the Lions used 12 players, with nine of those individuals recording at least 10 minutes of game action. Brueggemann played 27 minutes, tops on the team.

After a slow start, Lindenwood used its defense to settle into the game, forcing 17 Tulsa turnovers with 10 of them coming in the first half. Off those turnovers, Lindenwood scored 20 points. The Lions trailed by as many as 16 points in the opening half but battled back to take a two-point lead early in the third quarter.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Lindenwood and Dayton. The Flyers are coming off a loss to UConn in their first contest on Wednesday. After this game, the Lions will stay in Ohio to take square off with Cincinnati on November 15 before closing out a three-game road trip at Northern Illinois on November 21.
