The Lindenwood women's basketball team (0-4, 0-0 OVC) return home for a midweek matchup with the University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears (3-3, 0-0 ASUN). Tip-off from Hyland Arena is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
 
Last week, the Lions fell 77-60 to Northern Illinois on the road in DeKalb, Ill. For the fourth-straight game, Ellie Brueggemann scored in double-figures after pouring in 17 points against the Huskies. Brueggemann was 4-of-8 from deep in the loss and has now made at least four three-pointers in three games this season.
 
The Owasso, Okla. native is second in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per contest. She is shooting 48.4 percent from deep, tops in the conference. For her efforts a couple weeks ago, Brueggemann earned OVC Freshman of the Week honors.
 
Lindenwood continues to take care of the ball this season as they are one of two teams with a positive turnover margin this season. Lindenwood had a season-low eight turnovers at Northern Illinois. Lindenwood has forced more turnovers than its opponent two times this season.
 
The Lions started four freshman at NIU with Alyssa Nielsen, Gracie Kelsey, and Mykayla Cunningham getting their first-career nods. Kelsey nearly notched a double-double in 27 minutes of action with 12 points and nine rebounds. The Lions put together a solid effort on the glass, pulling down a season-high 41 rebounds.
 
Mya Skoff provided good minutes off the bench last Tuesday night, compiling eight points and five rebounds in 13 minutes. The Bellevue, Neb. native was 2-of-4 from three-point range.
 
Last season, Central Arkansas picked up a 55-43 win over Lindenwood in Conway, Ark.
