The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team continues their home stretch on Friday, December 1st and Saturday December 2nd, hosting Mercyhurst. Games will be played at 6:00 PM CST on Friday and 3:00 PM CST on Saturday. All games will be hosted at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

The Lions are sitting at 7-8-1 on the year and 2-3-1 in conference. The Lions picked up a series sweep at home over Stonehill in their most recent matchup, winning 6-2, and 4-2. Morgan Neitzke leads the Lions in points with 25, sitting at the sixth spot in the NCAA in points, and tenth in the NCAA in points per game with 1.56 points per game. Sarah Davies is second on the team in points with 15 and Rachel Goff sits in third with 13. In the last two games, Natalie Ferenc and Ava McIllmurray both made starts in net for the Lions. Ferenc leads the Lions in saves with 391.

The Lions are looking to get back to over .500 on the year, to move to 9-8-1 on the season, and 4-3-1 in conference.

This will be the 49th time in program history the Lions will matchup against the Lakers. Historically, the Lions are 8-39-1 against the Lakers, with the Black and Gold falling to the Lakers 2-0 in their most recent matchup. The Lakers are currently 6-11-1 and 3-3-0 in conference, sitting in fourth place in the CHA. In their last two matchups, the Lakers won 4-0 and lost 3-1 to Penn State. Sara Boucher and Sydney Pederson lead the Lakers in points with 18. Thea Johansson and freshman Sofia Nuttinen are tied for the second most points on the team with 12.
