The Lindenwood women's basketball team (0-0, 0-0 OVC) is set to host Tulsa (0-0, 0-0 AAC) to open the second Division I season for the Lions. Tip-off on Monday is set for 6:00 p.m. inside Hyland Arena. This will be the second meeting between the two squads, with the Golden Hurricanes taking last season's matchup.

The Lions enter the season with new leadership as Amy Eagan is set to begin her first year at the helm of the program. Eagan arrives in St. Charles, Mo. after spending three seasons as the head coach of Drury University women's basketball. Eagan brings a career mark of 274-151 (.645) to Lindenwood, including four-straight seasons of 23 or more wins. Eagan has led three schools to the NCAA Division II tournament for a total of five appearances, as well as one NAIA tournament appearance. Eagan has claimed five conference titles in her 14 years, including three-straight.

The 2023-24 roster will feature 12 newcomers led by first-year head coach Amy Eagan. Of those 12 newcomers, nine are freshman, while three are transfers. Among the returners, is
Mary McGrath who led the team in points per game (12.2) and rebounds per game (6.6). She was named OVC Player of the Week once last season.

After Monday's game, the Lions will hit the road for three-straight contests, which include games against Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Illinois.
