The Lindenwood women's basketball team (2-6, 0-0 OVC) will travel to Evansville, Ind. for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Evansville (1-7, 0-0 MVC). Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

The Lions will be looking to make it two-straight wins on the week and three-consecutive overall. Lindenwood defeated Harris-Stowe, 99-54 in its last game on Monday. In the win, seven different players recorded double figures, led by
Ellie Brueggemann who had 14. The Owasso, Okla. native continues to lead the offensive attack, averaging 15.4 points per game.

Brueggemann led Lindenwood with four makes from beyond the arc. As a team, the Lions shot 12-28 from three-point range. Those 12 makes were the most in a game since December 15, 2021, when the black and gold also knocked down 12 against Christian Brothers College.

Mya Skoff registered three makes from beyond the arc in the win. The Bellevue, Neb. native has scored in double figures in three out of her last four games, which has included three starts.

Lindenwood continues to turn teams over this season, forcing 26 turnovers against the Hornets, which led to 38 points.
Mary McGrath set the ton on the defensive end with a team-high four steals and three blocks. The John Hersey product stuffed the stat sheet, also pulling down 10 rebounds and scoring seven points.

Over the past three games, the Lions have turned up the defensive intensity, holding teams to just 60.3 points per game, leading to two wins. During this three-game stretch, Lindenwood has forced teams to turn the ball over 25.3 times per game.

Lindenwood will close out non-conference play next week against Minnesota before starting conference play against Southern Indiana on New Years Eve.
