The Lindenwood women's basketball team (2-7, 0-0 OVC) closes out non-conference play Thursday with a matchup against Minnesota (10-1, 0-0 B10) Tip-off from Minneapolis, Minn. is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The Lions are coming off a tough 70-68 loss to Evansville last Saturday on the road last Saturday. Lindenwood shot 51.9 percent from the field, its second-best mark of the season. That effort was led by
Justis Odom who went 7-of-9 from the floor.

Odom finished the game with a career-high 17 points and eight boards. The 6-2 center was part of a concerted effort to get the ball in the paint as Lindenwood finished the contest with 44 points in the paint.

The reserves played a key role against the Purple Aces scoring 31 points, led by
Mykayla Cunningham. Cunningham finished in double figures with 12. So far this season, bench production has been high, as reserves have accounted for 38 percent of the teams scoring on the year.

Cunningham continues to provide a spark this season off the bench. Those 12 points tied a career-high, which she set last Monday in the win over Harris-Stowe. The Salina, Kan. native averages six points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists this season.

In the game against Evansville, 10 players registered 10 or more minutes, as the Lions continue to use their depth. So far this season, 11 players have logged an average of 10 or more minutes on the year.

Lindenwood will have 10 days off before beginning conference play against Southern Indiana on New Year Eve. Opening tip from Hyland Arena is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
