On Sunday, the Lindenwood men's wrestling team traveled to Ames, Iowa to compete at the Last Chance Open, hosted at Iowa State University to finish off their regular season.

Overview
The Lions competed against some of the top programs in the country. The Black and Gold had five wrestlers place at the Open in their respective weight classes. The Lions had three wrestlers place sixth, one wrestler place fifth and one wrestler place third.

Notable Performances
David Hernandez – placed third in the 285-pound bracket. Hernandez went 2-1 on the day, earning wins by a 9-2 decision in the consolation semi-finals against Iowa State's Jacob Cates and a 5-2 decision in the third-place match against Wisconsin's Jonah Schmidtke.

Drew Gvillo – placed fifth in the 184-pound bracket. Gvillo went 1-2 on the day earning a victory in the fifth-place match by medical forfeit.

Logan Johnson – placed sixth in 165-pound bracket. Johnson went 1-3 on the day earning a victory in the first round of the consolation bracket, winning by pin at the 0:55 mark against Unattached Kruz Pierce.
