ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood women's basketball team is set to play their last regular season Thursday night game in Hyland Arena against the SEMO Redhawks starting at 5:30 p.m.
The last time the Lions took the floor, they were edged by five points in a road loss to the Morehead State Eagles. The final score was 62-67, and
Masyn McWilliams led the way in the scoring column for the Lions with her 18 total points. The graduate senior was one of three Lions to score in double figures, with
Devin Fuhring knocking down 13 and
Mary McGrath hitting 12.
McGrath tallied another double-double, her fourth one of the year with her 12-point, 13-rebound stat line. The sophomore standout is still the only Lion to hit the double-double milestone this season.
McGrath also continues to lead the way in both the points and rebounds per game columns for Lindenwood, averaging 12.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Fuhring has the next highest points per game average with 10.9, while
Brooke Woodyard is second best on the boards with her 4.5 rebounds per game average.
The Lions and the Redhawks met back on January 12 in Cape Girardeau, and the Lions ended up falling in a 45-68 final score. McGrath and
Emily Benzschawel each knocked in nine points a piece to lead the Lions for that game, while Fuhring had an eight-point, eight-rebound game.
Since the two teams met last on December 31, the Redhawks have gone 7-4, most recently beating USI in a tight 63-59 race back on Saturday afternoon in Cape Girardeau.
SEMO's leading scorer is Jaliyah Green, who has compiled a 9.8 points per game average on the year. The leading rebounder for the Redhawks is Kennedi Watkins, who averages 4.6 boards per game this year.
