The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-27-0, 5-11-0 CHA) saw its season come to an end on Saturday. The Lions fell 7-1 to Penn State (26-8-2, 14-1-1 CHA) from University Park, Pa.

GAME OVERVIEW
Natalie Ferenc compiled 25 saves in the opening period and kept the Lions in the game as the game remained scoreless through the halfway point. The Nittany Lions finally broke through at the 11:17 mark of the period and went on to add two more goals in the frame, taking a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Penn State went on to add two more goals in the middle frame to take a commanding 5-0 lead after 40 minutes of play. The Lions found the back of the net late in the third period as Chloe Corbin broke the shutout, assisted by Sarah Davies at the 17:05 mark. The Lions would however fall by a 7-1 score.
