The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (9-9, 6-4 MIVA) fell in three sets to No. 12 Ball State on Saturday evening in Muncie, Ind.
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood played from behind in the first set but tried to make a comeback. Trailing 17-11, the Lions won the next three points, but that's as close as they would get with the Cardinals taking the opening set 25-19. In the first set,
Rodney Wallace hit .700 and picked up three terminations.
The Lions held a slight advantage throughout the second set, but Ball State went on a run after the media timeout to gain some separation. A. J. Lewis picked up four of his team-high 10 kills in the second, but it wasn't enough as the Cardinals picked up the set victory by a final score of 25-19.
Set three was the strongest from Lindenwood in terms of hitting percentage as they swung at a .258 clip. Despite that, Lindenwood fell in the third set by a 25-17 score. The Lions compiled 13 kills in the set, their most of any in the match.
