OMAHA, Neb. --The Lindenwood baseball squad (9-29) was unable to record a run against Omaha (13-17) on Friday in a 10-0 loss.
In the batter's box, the Lions were paced by junior Logan Stevens, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double. Senior Joe Copeland put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position. The Lions last got a runner on third in the fifth, when junior Brett Bowers made it 90 feet away from scoring with two outs.
GAME NOTES
» Lindenwood pitchers faced 37 Omaha hitters in the game, allowing four ground balls and eight fly balls while striking out four.
» Stevens led the Lions at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a double.
» Omaha was led offensively by senior Brennen Bales, who went 1-for-1 with a home run and three RBI.
» Tenney led the Mavericks pitching staff, throwing seven shutout innings.
