OMAHA, Neb. --The Lindenwood baseball team (9-31) lost to the Omaha Mavericks (15-17) by final score of 11-1 on Sunday.
Offensively, the Lions were led by freshman Landon Willbrand, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and an RBI. Junior Anthony Stellato furnished a standout performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 2-0, the Lions first put runs on the board in the second inning. Lindenwood got on the board thanks to Willbrand's RBI double with two outs. The Lions were unable to get any closer, as Omaha added nine runs to their tally on the way to an 11-1 final.
