The Lindenwood women's soccer team (0-1-0, 0-0-0 OVC) will take on Austin Peay (0-1-0, 0-0-0 ASUN) in their second game of the 2023 season on Sunday, August 20th, for a 1:00 p.m. start time in Clarksville, Tenn.

The Lions are coming off an opening game lost to UMKC, where the Lions fell 2-1 to the Roos. Maggie Weller led the Lions in scoring in this affair, scoring one goal. Erika Anstine led the charge for the Lions on the defensive front making three saves on two goals against. The Lions also held the Roos scoreless for 65 minutes.

The Lions will look for their first win of the season against Austin Peay, and to move to 1-1-0 on the season.

Lindenwood will meet Austin Peay for the first time, in the Lions new slate in NCAA Division I.  Austin Peay went (3-9-6) last season, going (1-6-3) in the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) conference. The Governors were picked as the ninth favorite in the preseason poll for the ASUN. The Governors are coming off a 2-1 loss to Lions conference rival, UT Martin.

Lindenwood will host Chicago State on Thursday, August 24th for the home opener at 7:00 p.m. at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
