ST. CHARLES, MO. – On a nice cool Thursday afternoon, the Lindenwood women's soccer team (2-2-0, 0-0-0 OVC) hosted Murray State (1-4-0, 0-0-0 MVC), in a tightly contested match. The Lions would score one late in the second half to win 1-0 over Murray State and earn head coach
Dave Musso his 200
th career win as a coach.
MATCH OVERVIEW
In the first half, both teams were held scoreless, with the Lions giving up five shots and the Racers giving up six shots. The Lions had one shot on cage, while giving up two to the Racers. The Lions had four individuals in the first half take shots. The Lions would go into the second tied 0-0 to the Racers.
In the second half, much like the first, stingy defense was the name of the game. Both teams were held scoreless till the 82

Anna Johnson would put one over the goalie from a right footed shot. The Lions would lead 1-0. Defense remained a key part for the last few minutes of the game for the Lions to seal the deal. The Lions would keep the Racers offense at bay to end up victorious.
