The Lindenwood football team (1-1, 0-1 BS/OVC) will stay on the road to take on Western Illinois (0-2, 0-1 MVFC) at Hanson Field in Macomb, Ill. on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.

Lindenwood is looking to bounce back after dropping a matchup with No. 16 Southeast Missouri State last week in the "Game Ball Brawl."
Cole Dugger used his feet for the Lions only score, which came from 18 yards out. The Owasso, Okla. native accounted for 64 percent of Lindenwood's total offense in the game.

Robert Giaimo had a solid night on the ground, accumulating 67 yards on 15 totes. The redshirt sophomore has averaged 6.1 yards per carry so far this season, while finding the endzone twice, once on the ground and once through the air.

Lindenwood has three receivers averaging over 20 yards per catch so far this season, led by
Chase Lanckriet who has 101 yards on five catches and one touchdown.
Jeff Caldwell leads the team with seven grabs on the year.

Brenden Dye is leading the defensive unit with 13 tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss.
Kobe McClendon has compiled 2.0 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks and a total of eight tackles so far this season.

The Lions and Leathernecks will meet for the first time in program history on Saturday. Western Illinois is 0-2 on the season and are coming off a 34-18 loss to Illinois State last week. Lindenwood will close out a three-game road trip on September 23rd in Normal, Ill.

Last season, Lindenwood finished the year with a 3-2 record on the road, including wins over Houston Baptist, Central Arkansas and Eastern Illinois.
