The Lindenwood football team (2-2, 0-1 BS/OVC) returns home to take on Austin Peay State University (2-2, 1-0 UAC) on Saturday at 1:00 pm inside Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lions are coming off a 48-17 loss on the road at Illinois State last Saturday.
Jeff Caldwell had another monster game offensively, hauling in five passes for 138 yards and one touchdown. Through four games this season, Caldwell has 379 yards receiving and six touchdowns. The six scores are tied for the most in FCS while the 379 yards ranks fifth.

Robert Giaimo had a strong day in all phases of the game, rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown, while collecting another 17 through the air. The Bartlett, Tenn. native has averaged 105 all purpose yards per game so far this season, which ranks 46th in FCS.

Defensively,
Ethan Stuhlsatz led the way with 12 tackles, while
Kobe McClendon continues to be a disruption in the backfield. The St. Mary's product leads the squad with 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Stuhlsatz is tied for the team lead in tackles with 26 on the year.

The Governors will visit St. Charles, Mo. for the first meeting between the two schools in program history. Austin Peay is currently 2-2 with back-to-back wins over East Tennessee State and Stephen F. Austin, respectively and are receiving votes in the FCS Coaches Poll.
Lindenwood will honor its 2023 Hall of Fame class on Saturday during the game, with a ceremony to follow. Former Lindenwood Lion, DeDe Dorsey is one of the six individual inductees.

Following this weekend's game, Lindenwood will return to conference play, welcoming Tennessee Tech to Hunter Stadium for a 1:00 pm kickoff on October 7.
