ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-0-0, 0-0-0 CHA) hosts the University of Wisconsin (0-0-0, 0-0-0 WCHA) in a two-game series. Game one on Thursday is set for 7:10 p.m., while game two will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. All games will be hosted at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.
The Lions are currently 2-0 on the season, sweeping the Bemidji Stave Beavers 4-2 and 4-1, during opening weekend play.
Morgan Neitzke on Monday, September 25
th was named as the CHA Forward of the Week for her play against Bemidji State. Neitzke leads the Lions in points with five coming from two goals and three assists. Other players to watch on the offensive end of the puck for the Lions include

Rachel Goff,
Sena Takenaka, who all have three points on the year.
Natalie Ferenc and
Emily Finach both have a start in net for the Black and Gold, making a combined 50 saves on three goals against in two games.
The Lions are looking to pick up two wins against the number one ranked team in the nation, to have a record of 4-0 on the season.
The Lions will meet with the Badgers for the 26
th time in program history, with the Lions losing 10-0 in the most recent matchup which took place on September 30th, 2022. The Badgers will open their 2023-24 season against the Lions. The Badgers in the previous year went 29-10-2, and capped off the year with a national championship. Players to watch for the Badgers are Caroline Harvey, Casey O'Brien, and Kirsten Simms who were all named to the preseason all-WCHA team. Harvey posted 36 points as a freshman, O'Brien finished with 48 points in the junior campaign and Simms finished with 32 points as freshman.
