The Lindenwood women's basketball team (2-12, 0-4 OVC) returns home to take on SIUE (3-15, 0-5 OVC) on Thursday evening inside Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo. Opening tip is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
 
In their last game on Saturday, the Lions were edged by Tennessee State, 83-80 in Nashville. This is the third time this season that Lindenwood has scored 80 or more points. The black and gold had four players in double figures, including Ellie Brueggemann who led the team with 18 points, all of which came in the second half. Overall, the Owasso, Okla. native averages 14.2 points per game, eighth best mark in the conference.
 
The four players in double figures are the second most in a game for Lindenwood this season, as the black and gold had seven players reach the 10+ point plateau against Harris-Stowe in December. Alyssa Nielsen registered a career-high 13 points against the Tigers on 6-of-9 from the field. In a pair of games this week, the Bixby, Okla. native shot 76.9 (10-of-13) from the floor.
 
Overall, the Lions made 26 field goals against the Tigers, their third highest output of the season. The squad also attempted 32 free throws, second most in a game this season. Three different players attempted seven or more, led by Makayla Wallace with eight. The St. Louis, Mo. native finished the game with 13 points.
 
Mykayla Cunningham recorded 12 points in the loss against the Tigers. The freshman combo guard has now registered double figures in four out of her last six games.
 
The Lions will welcome Eastern Illinois to Hyland Arena on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. Both of Lindenwood's wins this season have come at home.
