The Lindenwood Lions are entering this weekend's series against the Stonehill Skyhawks, after tying with the #3 Wisconsin Badgers, 3-3. Stonehill is entering after suffering a 10-0 loss at the hands of LIU.

During their last contest, the Lions demonstrated their speed and agility on both ends of the ice. The Badgers scored first but the Lions roared back with a goal of their own. It was
Patrick Schmiedlin on a pass from
Austin Fraser and
Mitch Allard that locked the score at 1-1 entering the second period.

During the second, LU's
Caige Sterzer lodged the puck firmly into the net on a pass from
Jack Anderson and
Adam Conquest, taking the Lions up 2-0, while holding the nationally ranked Badgers scoreless the entire period. The final period of regulation saw Wisconsin score twice, taking a 3-2 lead. Down but not out, Lindenwood fought back, with
Coltan Wilkie scoring as
Kabore Dunn and Conquest were credited with the assist.
Trent Burnham served the Lions well in the net, tallying 51 saves.

Stonehill and Lindenwood faced off twice last season, with the Lions winning both at home. Skyhawks to watch are Frank Ireland (19), who leads the team with 12 points, Dean Schwenninger (25), paces the team with 233 faceoffs won, Dylan Meilun (31), has 557 saves and Gavin Fitzpatrick (35) has 61 goals allowed.

Kyle Jeffers leads LU in points and goals with 11 points and five goals,
Kabore Dunn tops the assists category with nine and
Trent Burnham has recorded 734 saves.
