The Lindenwood women's basketball team (3-14, 1-6 OVC) heads to Martin, Tenn. for a matchup with UT Martin (7-11, 4-3 OVC) on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
 
In their last game on Thursday, the Lions fell 50-45 at Little Rock. This is Lindenwood's fourth loss by five or fewer points so far this season. Overall, the 50 points are the fewest allowed to an opponent on the year, with the Trojans scoring just 19 in the opening half.
 
Makayla Wallace finished the game with 12 points, her second-highest total of the season, with all of them coming in the second half. Ellie Brueggemann also scored in double figures for the 14th time this season, compiling 12 points. The Owasso, Okla. native knocked down four threes against the Trojans and now averages 2.9 makes from beyond the arc on the year, second most in the OVC.
 
In the game against the Trojans, Mykayla Cunnigham played 32 minutes and provided four points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Although the Salina, Kan. native has made just one start this season, the freshman combo guard averages 23.6 minutes per game, second most on the team as she continues to bring the energy as a reserve.
 
Justis Odom finished the contest with nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with seven of those points coming in the first half. So far this season, Odom is averaging 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds, which is second on the team.
 
Last season, the Lions picked up their lone OVC win against the Skyhawks in an 84-75 victory inside Hyland Arena. Lindenwood shot 62 percent for the game and 54 percent from three-point range.
 
Lindenwood will return home for a four-game homestand, beginning next Tuesday against SEMO. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
