Corbin Scores Twice in 6-3 Loss to Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, MINN. – On Friday evening, women's ice hockey (0-4-0, 0-0-0 AHA) took on Bemidji State (0-6-0, 0-4-0 WCHA) in game one of two versus the Beavers. The Lions would fall to the Beavers 6-3.  

GAME OVERVIEW
In the first period, the Beavers found the back of the net three times. The Beavers first goal came 10:02 into the period, coming while even strength. Seven minutes later at 17:41 into the period, the Beavers would find their second goal of the night while on the power play. Less than two minutes later, Bemidji would notch their third goal of the night. The Lions would be held scoreless in the period. After a period of play, Lindenwood trailed Bemidji State 3-0. Anna LaRose would make 14 saves in the period.

In the second period, Lindenwood would find their first goal of the game five minutes into the period. The Lions first goal would be scored by Silje Gundersen off a wrist shot, past the goaltender's stick side. Gundersen's goal would be assisted by Sidney Jackel. With 15 seconds left to go in the period, the Beavers would regain their three-goal lead. After two periods of play, Lindenwood would trail 4-1. Madison Bowtell would make nine saves in the period.

In the third period, both teams would be held scoreless for almost 16 minutes. The Beavers would score an empty netter at 15:48 into the period, to start the scoring off in the frame. With a little more than four minutes to go, the Lions would trail 5-1. Not more than a minute later, Chloe Corbin wristed a shot past the goaltender, to cut the Lions deficit to three. Corbin's goal would be assisted by Jackel. The Lions would score again with 1:24 left in the period, trailing 5-3. The Lions third goal would come from Corbin who would score off a rebound. Corbin's goal would be assisted by Zsofia Pazmandi and Morgan Neitzke. With five seconds left to go, the Beavers would net their sixth goal of the night on an empty net. Bowtell would make 19 stops in the period.

After the final whistle, the Lions fall to 0-5-0 on the season.
