Lindenwood's women volleyball returns home to Hyland Arena as they take on Tennessee Tech for a battle of the top two seeds in the Ohio Valley Conference. Tennessee Tech and Lindenwood are the only two teams currently in the OVC with double-digit wins. The Lions are 4-2 all-time against TTU including two wins at the OVC Championships.
Last weekend, Lindenwood suffered their first loss in conference play with a 3-1 loss at SIUE. Lindenwood responded with a 3-2 victory on Saturday to improve to 4-1 in OVC play. For their efforts,

Jessie Seidel earned OVC weekly honors.
Tennessee Tech is the only undefeated team left in the OVC with a 4-0 record. The Golden Eagles have a 15-1 overall record with their only loss coming in the non-conference vs. Marshall. Their 15 wins are the most in the NCAA thus far.
Lindenwood has been the best offense in the OVC in conference play averaging the most points per set (17.65), kills per set (14.50), assists per set (13.20) and hitting percentage (.240%). Tennessee Tech is right behind the Lions averaging 17.47 points per set in OVC play.
Preseason OVC Rankings
The OVC released their 2024 women's volleyball preseason poll earlier this season where Lindenwood was selected to finish in fifth place. The Lions had the third best record in the conference last season earning as the third seed at the OVC Tournament.
Southeast Missouri State was voted as the preseason favorite in 2024 with six first-place votes and a total of 167 points. Last year's OVC Champions Eastern Illinois was picked to finish right behind them with 166 points and five first place votes.
Morehead State (163 points/five first-place votes), Tennessee Tech (152 points/four first-place votes) and Lindenwood (145 points/one first-place vote) round out the top five in the OVC poll. The top five schools were separate by just 22 points.
Lindenwood also landed two players on the Preseason All-OVC team.Â

Allie Otten was voted as a player to watch as she returns for her sixth season.
Last Weekend Recap
Women's volleyball split their two matches in Edwardsville, Ill. against SIUE last weekend. Lindenwood suffered a four-set loss during the first match but responded with a five-set victory on Saturday to even the season series.
Rebecca Janke continued her strong start to OVC play with a team-high 33 kills against the Cougars. Her hitting percentage of .424 was the highest on the team.
Autumn Bax also had a team-high 33 kills while posting three solo blocks.
Otten was awarded for her performance last week earning the OVC Setter of the Week. She had 99 assists against SIUE leading Lindenwood to a .213 hitting percentage in two matches. She also tied her career-high in assists with 57 on Saturday.
Seidel had a weekend for the ages becoming the first Lindenwood Lion to reach 2,000 career digs. She tallied 60 digs against SIUE including a career-high 36 on Saturday. She was named the OVC Defensive Player of the Week.
Player To Watch
Nyah Wilson has been a staple of the Lindenwood program and 2024 is no different. She is second on the team in kills with 168 while hitting .168. She has nine matches this season with over 10 kills including a season-high 18 vs. Southern Illinois.
Not only has Wilson been reliable on offense, she also helps the Lions defense with 195 digs. She has had nine matches of over 10 digs including five double-doubles. She posted a season-high 23 digs vs. Florida Gulf Coast.
OVC Top Ten Stats
Janke remains in the top ten for hitting percentage in the OVC after her performances last week at SIUE. She ranks third with a .344. Of those qualified for HP%, Janke is second in kills with 174. Bax also comes in the top ten in kills per set with an average of 2.90, eighth best in the OVC.
Otten continues her strong season as setter ranking fourth in the conference in assists per set with an average of 9.04. Her 624 total assist also ranks third. Seidel ranks third defensively in digs per set after averaging 4.90. She is first in total digs with 338.
