Matchup
Lindenwood's women volleyball wraps up the regular season in Little Rock, Ark. this week starting on Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 6:00 p.m. CT in the Jack Stephens Center. The Lions still have a chance to lock-up the #1 seed in the OVC, but need some help with a loss by SEMO this weekend.

Lindenwood is coming off a split series with current #1 seed SEMO inside Hyland Arena. Thursday's match went the Lions' way with a 3-1 victory. Friday's match saw a classic five-set match. After being down 2-0, Lindenwood clawed their way back to force a fifth set. SEMO went up 5-0 early in the final frame and never looked back.

Little Rock had a bye weekend last week. They enter the final week of the regular season with a 16-13 overall record including an 11-5 record in conference matches. The Trojans are currently one-match back of Lindenwood and are the #3 seed heading into the final week. Lindenwood needs to win at least one match this weekend to be the #2 seed at the OVC Championships.

Lindenwood has thrived in OVC play posting one of the best offenses in the conference. In OVC play, Lindenwood is second in points per set (17.67 p/s) but leads the OVC in hitting percentage with a .240. The Lions also lead the conference in assists per set (13.43) and kills (14.48).

Preseason OVC Rankings
The OVC released their 2024 women's volleyball preseason poll earlier this season where Lindenwood was selected to finish in fifth place. The Lions had the third best record in the conference last season earning as the third seed at the OVC Tournament.

Southeast Missouri State was voted as the preseason favorite in 2024 with six first-place votes and a total of 167 points. Last year's OVC Champions Eastern Illinois was picked to finish right behind them with 166 points and five first place votes.

Morehead State (163 points/five first-place votes), Tennessee Tech (152 points/four first-place votes) and Lindenwood (145 points/one first-place vote) round out the top five in the OVC poll. The top five schools were separate by just 22 points.

Lindenwood also landed two players on the Preseason All-OVC team. Wilson and Jessie Seidel were selected after both received Second Team All-OVC honors last season. Otten was voted as a player to watch as she returns for her sixth season.
