The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-16, 4-8 OVC) hits the road for the first time in 19 days and will take on SIUE (4-21, 1-11 OVC) on Thursday in Edwardsville, Ill. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.

The Lions are coming off an 82-52 loss to Tennessee Tech last Saturday.
Alyssa Nielsen tied a season-high with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting. She also paced the team on the boards with four.
Mary McGrath provided a nice spark off the bench, finishing with 10 points, her first double-digit scoring game of the season. Eight of those 10 points came in the fourth quarter. In total, the reserves chipped in 17 points.

On the defensive end, Lindenwood had nine steals, led by
Mykayla Cunningham with five.
Makayla Wallace finished the game with two steals of her own. The St. Louis, Mo. native continues to be active in the passing lanes, averaging 2.5 steals per contest, second most in the conference, also ranking 33rd nationally.

Lindenwood is looking to sweep the season series with the Cougars, as the Lions won 79-73 back on January 18. In that game, the black and gold had four double-digit scores led by Nielsen with 18.

Another player who reached the double figure plateau in that game was
Justis Odom who had 15. The junior center has finished with 10 or more points in the last four games she has played. During that span, the Indianapolis, Ind. native has averaged six boards per game. Odom is currently tied for the team lead in that category with 3.8 per contest.

The Lions will be looking for just their second win on the road this season, The first came at UT Martin, a 73-68 win on January 27. Lindenwood will finish up the road swing on Saturday at Eastern Illinois.
