The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-17, 4-9 OVC) heads to Charleston, Ill. for a matchup with Eastern Illinois (11-15, 8-5 OVC) on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.

The Lions are coming off a tough 69-67 loss to SIUE on Thursday. This marked Lindenwood's seventh loss this season by seven points or less. In the contest, the black and gold had five players in double figures, led by Ellie Brueggemann with 17. This was the 18th time this season in which the Owasso, Okla. native has reached the 10+ point mark.

Brueggemann had nine of her 17 points in the fourth quarter, including three big makes from beyond the arc. The freshman guard finished the night with five threes, the third time she has done so this season.

Makayla Wallace joined Brueggemann in double figures with 10 and made a big impact in other areas on Thursday night. The St. Louis, Mo. native. stuffed the stat sheet at SIUE, adding six rebounds, five assists, and five steals to her stat line. She has now recorded five or more steals on four different occasions this season. Wallace now has 60 steals on the year, tied for 24th most in the nation.

Justis Odom continues to play well down the stretch and now has scored in double figures in five-straight games after 11 more on Thursday. The Indianapolis, Ind. native has put work in on the boards as well, averaging 4.0 per game this season, which leads the team.

The Lions committed just nine turnovers against the Cougars, as they continue to take care of the ball this season. On the year, Lindenwood has six games in which it has turned the ball over 10 or fewer times. The teams +3.83 turnover margin currently leads the Ohio Valley Conference.

Lindenwood will look to even the season series against Eastern Illinois, as the Lions lost 68-60 inside Hyland Arena on January 20. In that game, Mykayla Cunningham poured in a season-high 17 points.
