The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-18, 4-10 OVC) returns home to take on UT Martin (11-14, 8-6 OVC) on Thursday night inside Hyland Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
 
The Lions are coming off a 68-62 loss to Eastern Illinois last Saturday. Lindenwood has played in a lot of close games this season with this being its eighth loss by seven or fewer points on the year.
 
Lindenwood was led offensively by Justis Odom who scored a career-high 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. She also made an impact on the defensive end with five rebounds and four steals, which was also a career-best mark. The Indianapolis, Ind. native has now scored in double figures in six consecutive games.
 
Ellie Brueggemann and Alyssa Nielsen were the other Lions to reach the double figure mark against the Panthers. Brueggemann dropped 15 points, including three makes from beyond the arc, while Nielsen added 12 points on 5-of-8 from the field.
 
The Lions trailed 38-24 at halftime but turned up the defensive pressure to get back in the game. Lindenwood compiled eight steals during the second half and 15 for the game. Those 15 steals tied a season high. Makayla Wallace led the charge in that category once again with four. The St. Louis, Mo. native averages 2.7 swipes per game, tops in the conference. That number also ranks 27th nationally. Wallace recently broke the program single season steals record and currently has 64 on the year.
 
Lindenwood will be looking to sweep the series against UT Martin as the black and gold picked up a 73-68 road win on January 27. In that game, Brueggemann finished with a season-high 27 in route to Lindenwood's lone road victory of the season.
 
The Lions will close out the home slate on Saturday with a matchup against Little Rock. Opening tip is set for 1:00 p.m.
