Women's Basketball Closes Out Home Slate Against Little Rock

The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-19, 4-11 OVC) closes out its home slate on Saturday in a matchup with Little Rock (10-16, 9-6 OVC) Tip-off from Hyland Arena is set for 1:00 p.m.

The Lions are coming off a 65-56 loss to UT Martin on Thursday. Justis Odom continued her strong finish to the season against the Skyhawks, leading Lindenwood with 14 points and six rebounds. The Indianapolis, Ind. native has now scored in double figures in seven consecutive games.

Odom was a big reason why Lindenwood was able to outrebound UT Martin 33-31, as the junior center grabbed six boards, three of which were offensive rebounds. So far this season, Odom is averaging 4.1 rebounds per game, tops on the team. Mya Skoff also went to work on the glass, pulling down a season-high eight boards.

Ellie Brueggemann was the other Lion in double figures with 10 points. The freshman guard has now recorded 10+ points in 21 games this season. She has been a threat from outside all year, making three threes a game, while shooting 35.4 percent from beyond the arc, both second best in the OVC.

The Lions will be looking to even the season series against the Trojans after falling 50-45 back on January 25. Those 50 points are the fewest given up by Lindenwood this season. The black and gold led at the half in that contest and are 4-4 this season when holding the edge heading to the locker room. Brueggemann and Makayla Wallace led the squad with 12 points.

Wallace has been a steady presence for one of the youngest teams in the country. The St. Louis, Mo. native has started all 25 games for Lindenwood and paces the team in assists (3.2), and steals (2.3) per game this season.  The graduate guard will be honored during senior day.

Lindenwood will close out the regular season on the road with a pair of games next week against Southern Indiana and Morehead State.
