The Lindenwood men's ice hockey team is preparing for their final road trip of the 2023-24 season against the Stonehill Skyhawks. The Lions and Skyhawks have already met once this season, with Lindenwood earning a sweep.
After their first series, January 26
th and 27
th, the Lions traveled to Arizona to face-off against #17 Arizona State University. In Friday's (February 2
nd) contest, Lindenwood and Arizona State ended in a 4-4 tie and ASU won Saturday's game 5-1.
Scoring for the Lions on Friday were

Joe Prouty and
Mitch Allard),
Patrick Schmiedlin (
Jake Southgate),
Ethan Zielke (
Caige Sterzer and
Zach Aughe) and
Caleb Price (
Jaeden Mercier and Sterzer).
Saturday's goal came from the stick of Southgate, with Mercier and Sterzer earning the assist.
Trent Burnham and
Matthew Syverson each had a turn between the pipes for Lindenwood. Burnham recorded 10 saves, while Syverson tallied 14.
In their previous meeting against Stonehill, the Lions skated to a 7-1 victory (Friday night) and 6-5 overtime win on Saturday. During the series,
Aiden Yakimchuk recorded Lindenwood's first NCAA Division I hat trick.
