The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-15, 4-7 OVC) concludes the homestand with a matchup against Tennessee Tech (10-12, 5-6 OVC) on Saturday. Tip-off inside Hyland Arena is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
 
The Lions are coming off a thrilling 81-73 double overtime victory on Thursday against Tennessee State. This was Lindenwood's first double overtime game since the 2021-22 season. Ellie Brueggemann paced the squad with 20 points, all coming after halftime. The Owasso, Okla. native made some big free throws down the stretch and went 12-12 at the line during the game. As a team, Lindenwood went 21-30 from the charity stripe.
 
Mya Skoff was another player who made key plays down the stretch, scoring nine of her 11 points during the second extra session, including six straight points to extend the lead. Skoff was one of six Lions in double figures.
 
Lindenwood upped the defensive intensity in the second half, forcing 14 turnovers which resulted in 24 points helping the black and gold get back in the game. A big part of that was Makayla Wallace, who tied a career-high with seven steals. The St. Louis, Mo. native currently averages 2.5 steals per game, which ranks second best in the Ohio Valley Conference.
 
The Lions have now eclipsed the 70-point plateau for the eighth time this season, something they only did three times a year ago. So far this season, Lindenwood is 5-3 in those games.
 
This game against Tennessee Tech closes out a four-game homestand as the Lions look to go 3-1 during the stretch. Lindenwood has played well at home this season, going 5-5 inside Hyland Arena.
