The Lindenwood football team has released its schedule for the 2024 season on Monday which features 12 games, six at home, and six on the road.

Lindenwood opens the season on August 29^th against Kansas on the road. This matchup will mark the first game against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent in program history. The game will be played at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan. The Jayhawks went 9-4 last season, which included a bowl victory.

The Lions will host their home opener on September 7 in a matchup with Central Arkansas. Last season, the Sugar Bears compiled a 7-4 record including a 4-2 mark inside the United Athletic Conference. The two teams met back in 2022 in what was a 52-49 Lindenwood victory in Conway, Ark. The black and gold travel to Springfield, Mo. for a matchup with Missouri State on September 14. The Bears went 4-7 last season.

The following week, Lindenwood welcomes St. Thomas inside Hunter Stadium on September 28. Last season, the Tommies went 8-3, including a 7-1 mark inside conference play. Lindenwood opens Big South-OVC play on September 28, taking on Eastern Illinois on the road. Last season, the Panthers edged the Lions 16-10 at Hunter Stadium.
Lindenwood will return home for two-consecutive games at Hunter Stadium, first squaring off with Tennessee State on October 5, before hosting Charleston Southern on October 12. A year ago, TSU went 6-5, while the Buccaneers finished with a 4-7 record.

The Lions will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. for a matchup with Gardner-Webb on October 19. Last season, the Runnin' Bulldogs made an FCS Playoff appearance. Lindenwood returns home to take on Western Illinois on October 26. A year ago, the Lions defeated the Leathernecks in a 43-30 shootout in Macomb.

Lindenwood travels to Tennessee Tech on November 2. Last season, the Lions took down the Golden Eagles 23-0 in what was the first shutout for the program since 2015. The following week, Lindenwood hosts Southeast Missouri State for the third edition of the Game Ball Brawl. The Lions close out the season on November 23 in a road matchup with UT Martin.
