The Lindenwood baseball team dropped a close 3-2 game to the Little Rock Trojans at the Lou Brock Sports Complex. Today's game served as game one in a three-game series, concluding on Saturday afternoon.
Little Rock scored once in the top of the first inning. Lindenwood scored next, scoring twice in the bottom of the third. In the top of the sixth, the Trojans were able to score two runs to take a one-run lead.
Evan Funkhouser stole home to score the first LU run, while Kam Edwards stole second and advanced to third on an error by the shortstop. The second run came as Edwards crossed home plate on a hit by Colin Shea.
Zach Buschschulte received the loss for Lindenwood on the mound. The Lions finished with two runs on six hits and two errors.
Game two is slated for Friday, March 29th at 3:00 pm.
