The Lindenwood baseball team (11-23, 4-7 OVC) fell in game two to Tennessee Tech (22-13, 8-3 OVC) by a score of 3-1 on Saturday afternoon from Lou Brock Sports Complex
GAME OVERVIEW
Tennessee Tech got the scoring started with three runs in the top of the third, with just one hit as the Golden Eagles too advantage of a few walks. Eli Brow would settle down and give the Lions a quality start, tossing six and two thirds of three run ball.
The Lions finally broke through in the seventh as
Evan Funkhouser delivered with a two-out single that brought home
Bryson Arnette, making the score 3-1. However, Lindenwood stranded two more runners and still trailed by a pair after seven innings of play.
Lindenwood put the tying run on base in the ninth but were unable to get any runs across as the Lions fell in game two, 3-1. The black and gold will look to salvage the final game of the series on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
