Former Lindenwood men's hockey player
Kabore Dunn signed with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. Dunn becomes the fourth Lions pro player in their NCAA era, following the path of former Lions Andy Willis, Ryan Finnegan, and
Kyle Jeffers who signed ECHL contracts at the conclusion of their Lindenwood careers.

The Grizzlies are an AA minor league hockey team and are affiliates of the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and the Colorado Eagles of the AHL. The Grizzlies participate in the Mountain Division of the ECHL and finished fifth in the division in the 2023-24 season with 67 points and will celebrate their 30th season beginning this fall.

Dunn dished out 11 assists for the same number of points while patrolling the Lions' blue line in the 2023-24 season. During his two years at Lindenwood, he accumulated 19 points, tallying two goals and adding 17 assists.

ABOUT THE ECHL
Began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 29 teams in 22 states and one Canadian province for its 37th season in 2024-25. There have been more than 700 players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL. The ECHL has affiliations with 28 of the 32 NHL teams in 2024-25, marking the 247th consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
