Men's Soccer Suffers 4-1 Loss At Wright State

Anel Kafedzic scores first goal in LU career

DAYTON, Ohio – Lindenwood men's soccer (0-2-1, 0-0-0 OVC) dropped their first away game of the season to Horizon League opponent Wright State (1-1-0, 0-0-0 HL) by a final score of 4-1. The Lions surrendered four unanswered goals in the match.

"I'll take responsibility for our performance today," said head coach Kris Bertsch. "We under-performed in almost every category and lacked who we are as a program. As the coach, it falls on me to bring that out each game and today we did not do that. We will need to re-access and find it within ourselves to deliver what represents Lindenwood soccer."

Lindenwood's offense delivered nine shots on Thursday including five on goal resulting in the lone goal. Wright State had only two more shots than LU (11) but 10 of those landed on goal resulting in four goals.
