Dear Saint Charles Community,

As we move forward in our NCAA Division I athletics era, excitement is building on campus.  Whether it be soccer teams taking the pitch, high expectations for our 2023 OVC women's volleyball semi-finalists, cross country getting back on the course, or Coach Stugart's football team looking forward to our home opener on September 7 at Hunter Stadium vs. No. 13 Central Arkansas, one thing is clear…it's not another season; it's a showcase of exceptional talent and athleticism that defines Lindenwood.

The journey to this momentous point is built on the legacy of those who came before—our NAIA and NCAA Division II student-athletes and coaches whose dedication set the stage for today's achievements. Our current roster of student-athletes and coaches is nothing short of remarkable. They embody the highest level of skill, commitment, and sportsmanship, representing Saint Charles with distinction every day.

Your support as a community is vital to our continued success, and your presence at competitions propels our student-athletes to succeed. As we enter our third season in Division I, I invite you to join us in celebrating the talent that makes Lindenwood a beacon of athletic achievement.  Find your way to our campus or the Centene Community Ice Center and be the team behind our team. Hometown pride is real, and our student-athletes feel it each time they compete with you in the stands.

Your attendance supports the dreams of our student-athletes and contributes to the vibrant sports culture that is uniquely ours.  We are your Saint Charles's Division I team! 22 NCAA sports and 12 Student Life Sports programs (18 teams) demonstrate the talent our students possess, both in the arena of competition and the classroom. 

Today, I am asking for your support. You may or may not have been asked in the past. While I recognize that you will always love and support your alma mater or a program that you grew up with, that doesn't mean you can't be part of the Lindenwood family as well.  I am asking you today to grow your athletic family and let the Lindenwood Lions into your home.  Let us unite in support of our teams and show the spirit and strength of Saint Charles. Together, we will continue to build upon our storied past and forge a future filled with promise and pride.
