ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (6-9, 2-5 OVC) dropped the back end of their two-game set with Morehead State (11-5, 5-0 OVC) by a score of 3-0 in Hyland Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Match Overview
The Lions jumped out to an early lead in the opening frame with three consecutive service aces from
Alayna Rudebeck but were unable to recapture the advantage after a 5-1 run put the Eagles ahead.
Kylee Richey led Lindenwood with five kills in the set.
LU trailed by as many as four points in set two but were able to claw their way back and take a 25-24 lead. However, the Eagles turned away the Lions' set point and scored three straight to win the frame 27-25.
Ashley Geluck came alive with five kills in the set.
Trailing 24-18 in set three, Lindenwood made a late push with a 5-0 run, but could not complete the comeback as they dropped the set 25-23.
Autumn Bax led the Lions with six kills in the frame.

- Amelia Thro posted her first career double-doubled with career-highs in assists (29) and digs (12)
- Three Lions recorded double-digit kills, led by Kylee Richey with 12. She was joined by Autumn Bax (11) and Ashley Geluck (10). Â
