The Lions wrapped up another conference weekend in the OVC with a 2-1 win at home over Houston Christian. Alander Soares scored his second goal of the week in the eighth minute to open the scoring for Lindenwood to grab the early 1-0 lead off assists from Luke Neely and Jozef Palushaj. After the Huskies tied the game midway through the second half to make it a 1-1 game, Matteo Landais scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute as he scored from just outside of the box to give the Lions their fifth conference win of the season. Soares's two goals on the week earned him the OVC Offensive Player of the Week, bringing the Black and Gold's total number of Player of the Week's to nine on the 2025 season.

Scouting Southern Indiana
The Screaming Eagles were previously unbeaten in their last five matchups, going 1-0-4 in those five games. Their lone win during that stretch came in Evansville over HCU by a score of 4-1, however that streak came to an end last Sunday as they fell on the road to Eastern Illinois by a score of 2-0. Both of their wins on the 2025 season have come on their home field, and have compiled a 2-4-3 record at Strassweg Field.

Southern Indiana is led by Sophomore Forward David Davila who has a total of 13 points on the season with six goals and one assist. Davila's six goals rank tied for third in the OVC alongside Gavin Csiszar. The Lions swept the 2024 season series with the Screaming Eagles, scoring nine goals and allowing zero. Jozef Palushaj had two assists in the 7-0 win over Southern Indiana at home, while Ethan Blake scored the game-winning goal on the road in a 2-0 win.
