CollegeInsider.com recently released its women's mid-major top 25 poll and the Lindenwood women's basketball program is receiving votes. The Lions just missed out on the top 25 and garnered 44 votes in the poll.
The Lions were picked to finish atop the Ohio Valley Conference in the preseason poll that was released earlier this month. Lindenwood earned a total of 179 points in the poll, including six first-place votes.
Lindenwood is coming off one of its best seasons in program history as they finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 23-11 record which culminated in a WNIT Sweet 16 appearance. Last season, Lindenwood posted 14 wins at home, its most in program history and had an 11-game winning streak during the year. The Black and Gold return a pair of all-conference performers from last season in
Ellie Brueggemann and
Brooke Coffey.
The 2025-26 campaign tips off on November 5 when the Lions host Harris-Stowe at 11:00 a.m. inside Hyland Arena for Education Day. Tickets are available at lindenwoodlions.com/tickets.
