Lindenwood improved to 2-0 in conference play on Thursday afternoon with a shutout victory over Eastern Illinois by a score of 3-0.
Luca Bartoni had his best game as a Lion recording four points with a goal and two assists, while
Gavin Roberts posted his first clean sheet of the season stopping all four shots that were on goal.
Jozef Palushaj and
Maxime Legai also scored their first goals of the season in the victory over the Panthers.
The Lions are off to their best start in conference play since joining the OVC in 2023, and will look to continue to build on their momentum in Sunday's matchup with Western Illinois.

The Leathernecks are coming off a huge win over SIUE on Thursday, blanking the Cougars by a score of 1-0. Benjamin Graham scored the game-winning goal for WIU in the 80th minute on a strike from outside of the box to pick up three points for the purple and gold. Western is led by Forward Liam Gainey, who has five goals on the year. Gainey also leads the Leathernecks in shots (18) and points (11).
WIU enters with an overall record of 3-7-1 with their other two victories coming against Bradley and Butler. Last season, the Lions defeated the Leathernecks in both matchups, including a 2-1 victory in the OVC Tournament Quarterfinals.
Quinn Connolly had the game-winning goal in the Quarterfinals and
Ethan Blake scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win against Western a season ago.
