Lindenwood Men's Soccer swept this week's Ohio Valley Conference player of the week awards which was announced by the conference on Tuesday morning. Luca Bartoni, Luke Neely, and Gavin Roberts were named the offensive player, defensive player, and goalkeeper of the week for their respective performances against Eastern and Western Illinois on Thursday and Sunday. 

Bartoni had one goal and three assists on the week, with four of his five points coming in the 3-0 win over EIU on Thursday afternoon. The Senior from St. Louis scored the Lion's first goal of the game in the first half and added two assists on each goal scored in the second half and followed that performance with an assist on Sebastia Cerda Tous's goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over Western Illinois. Bartoni now ranks third on the team in points with 12 and is second on the team in goals scored with four. 

On the defensive side of the ball, Luke Neely played 165 out of a possible 180 minutes to help the Lions go 2-0 on the week. The Junior from Whitehouse, Texas anchored a defense that allowed zero goals on just seven shots on goal in two games played. Neely has started in eight out of his nine games played in 2025, and has been on the field for seven of the eight shutouts that the defense has posted so far this season.

Gavin Roberts has started the last two games in goal for the Lions and recorded back-to-back cleansheets. The Senior from Florissant, Missouri made seven saves on the week and kept both the Panthers and Leathernecks off the scoreboard in 180 minutes of action. 

Bartoni, Neely, and Roberts are first-time OVC player of the week award winners this season, making the black and gold's total number of players to receive an honor up to eight. The Lions will host SIUE on Thursday night at 7 p.m. for their next OVC matchup before hitting the road to take on Liberty on Sunday afternoon in Lynchburg, Virgina.
