Scouting SIUE Since playing the Lions on September 27, the Cougars have split their last two matchups in OVC play. SIUE fell on the road to Western Illinois by a score of 1-0 as the Leathernecks scored a late goal in the 80
th minute on October 2, but they would pick up their first conference win of 2025 in Edwardsville by a score of 1-0 over Eastern Illinois to improve their overall record to 2-8. Evan Howard scored the lone goal for the Cougars last week, recording his sixth goal of the season. Howard's six goals ranks him tied for first in the OVC with
Gavin Csiszar and Zach Lifferth of Liberty.
Lindenwood's win over SIUE on September 27 marked the first time that has happened in the Division I era.
